Ellen Gill

Ellen studied at Coventry University/Warwickshire College gaining a degree in veterinary nursing. She has worked in a variety of first opinion practices over the years where she gained experience in all aspects of veterinary nursing and met some wonderful colleagues along the way. During this time, she developed a passion around complex medicine and cardiology cases and therefore chose to move into the referral sector.

Ellen spent 6 years at a referral centre working within the cardiology department focusing on cardiac interventions, and was quickly part of the most successful interventional team within the UK.

Ellen joined the internal medicine team at Blaise Veterinary Referral Hospital in October 2023 as a Senior Medicine Nurse, which brings an array of both minimally invasive procedures and complex medicine cases which are both fascinating and interesting, and works closely with the internal medicine specialists. She also helps provide training to the wider nursing team within the scope of medicine. Additionally, Ellen is currently a feline hypertension ambassador and is an advocate of cat friendly nursing. 

Outside of nursing, Ellen enjoys rock climbing and spending time with her family and friends, which includes her rescue cat Eevee.
