Laura Jowitt

Laura began her veterinary career at a busy referral hospital, starting there as a veterinary nurse assistant. She then progressed to student nurse and then qualified as an RVN in 2014. 

After some time in referrals, Laura decided to gain different experiences by moving to general practice. It was during this time that Laura gained a keen interest in surgery and anaesthesia alongside her passion for caring and supporting hospitalised patients. 

Laura joined Blaise on its opening in 2023. The role of Wards Nurse allowed Laura the opportunity to combine both her referral and general practice knowledge. 

Laura has undertaken an NCert in Nursing Anaesthesia with one final examination to complete. She has recently started the ISFM certificate in Feline Nursing and is a cat advocate at Blaise. She also helped obtain a gold accreditation for the cat friendly practice scheme. 

Outside of work, Laura spends most of her spare time with her horse Alfie and Shih Tzu cross Poodle, Lily.
