Lizzie Ankers RVN Multidisciplinary Nurse

Lizzie began working in the veterinary world in 2013 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 at Harper Adams University. After some time in primary and charity practice, Lizzie began working in referral hospitals as a Surgical Nurse in 2019 and is now a Surgery and Anaesthesia Nurse at Blaise. Lizzie is also a Certified RECOVER Rescuer in Basic and Advanced Life Support. She enjoys teaching and provides CPD presentations to colleagues and other veterinary practices, usually about anaesthesia or veterinary CPR.

Lizzie says: 'Referral nursing has allowed me to advance my skills and knowledge significantly, particularly in anaesthesia, which is my favourite topic. I treat every patient as if they were my own pet, ensuring they get the best possible care and lots of TLC.'

Outside of work, Lizzie enjoys going to music festivals and gigs with her friends. She has many pets, including a cat called Pudding and a dog called Peach who comes to work with Lizzie every day. She also has three pythons (Custard, Ginny and Ember), and a blue tongued skink called Tequila PRC.
