Sarah Morgans - Wards Clinical Team Leader
Sarah Morgans BSc(Hons) CertVNECC Wards Clinical Team Leader

Sarah trained as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in London with Medivet and qualified in 2013. She then spent a further year working in the 24-hour hospital where she trained at before moving to Birmingham to work at Willows Veterinary Referrals, where she stayed for 9 years in a variety of roles.

At Willows Veterinary Referrals, Sarah initially worked as a multidisciplinary nurse and moved through all aspects of nursing within the referral setting before spending a brief stint in medicine. Sarah then realised ICU nursing was her true passion. She spent approximately 4 years as an ICU nurse at Willows Veterinary Referrals, helping to set up and develop the department. During this time, Sarah also completed her VetsNow Emergency and Critical Care Certificate. She then decided it was time for a change and moved into a night RVN role, mainly in ICU and out-of-hours emergency care. Sarah enjoyed the challenge of this type of nursing but after a year and a half she decided that she was ready for more responsibility.

Sarah therefore moved into the role of Specialist Wards Team Leader. In this position, Sarah was responsible for over 30 nurses from Surgical Wards, Medicine Wards, ICU, Oncology and Nights. She enjoyed the challenge of supporting these teams and helping nurses to learn, develop and achieve their potential.

When Blaise opened, the opportunity arose to join an exciting new venture and Sarah accepted the Wards Clinical Team Leader position.

Sarah has a keen interest in canine behaviour and she is completing a canine behaviour certificate. She recently adopted a 7-year-old ex-breeding GSD. Sarah hopes to be able to give her a happy retirement and the love and comfort of a home after living in a kennel environment for so long. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her family.
